She got an email about a new program from Progressive called TripSense. It was completely free and voluntary to sign up, but participating in the program gets us free money back and anywhere from 5% to 25% off our car insurance!
We haven't quite figured out what all we have to do yet, but I'm pretty sure I know where the computer port is inside the car that they hook up to. This little device will then track information about our driving habits. Then, we upload this information to progressive and bam, free money. We already got a $33 dollar check today just for signing up, on top of any discounts on our insurance. Pretty neat huh?
In other news, I just found out about a new movie coming out in 2007 that should have made my original 2007 movie list. They are making an animated movie based on one of the first ever Fantasy Fiction novels I ever read, Dragons of Autumn Twilight. I honestly can't remember when I found this series of books, but I'm pretty sure it was basically the second one after the Deverry series. The idea they are making this book into a movie is VERY exciting. I can only hope it actually happens, because many times in the past this type of movie rumor ends up being nothing more then a rumor.

The trip computer is pretty neat, until they decide that you drive too fast, drive too slow, slam on the brakes too much, make too many short trips, or any other sort of made-up excuse to raise your rates more then the average person.
We can review the data before we send it. Then we can choose not to submit the information at the end of the two month period if we don't like what we see.
Those Dragonlance books were also the first series I read. The latest one just came out recently (last year?) and its called Dragons of Summer Flame. I haven't gotten around to picking it up but plan on it one of these days/years. Do you know if its supposed to be a CGI movie or more "cartoonish" animation? Either way, I'm sure it'll be fun.

Dragons of Summer Flame actually came out in 1996 (I thought it was pretty good actually). There is another trilogy that follows it called the War of Souls (which wasn't so good).
The one you might be thinking of as having just came out is Dragons of the Dwarven Depths which came out in 2006, and starts a new trilogy that fills in some of the gaps in the original trilogy.
